Mitred & Cherry-Headed Conures

After a week of trying to get close enough to these guys to get a few shots off, it finally paid off when I planted my self under one of the many Sea Grape trees in the area that they would feed on. From my balcony, as I sipped my coffee, I could hear them squawking and was determined to get them before they moved on for the season. I just grabbed the camera and slippers and ran out toward the beach.
I was laughing afterwards because I actually sat there in my pajama pants and a t-shirt hoping they would choose the tree I chose. The morning joggers must have thought I escape from some facility.
